Bumper Morgan is a veteran Los Angeles Police Department street cop. He is due to retire after twenty years on the job, but is not letting up on the criminal element on his beat.

-The Blue Knight 1975
He's Bumper Morgan, a veteran cop walking a beat in a not-so-great L.A. neighborhood, using muscle, wits or charm as the situation dictates. Based on Joseph Wambaugh's novel, this series picks up where the 1973 NBC miniseries of the same name (starring William Holden) left off.
